Title: Product Marketing Manager (Capacitors - Film)


Reports To: Director of Marketing


Summary: Responsible for business development and maintenance of Capacitors in North America. This includes providing strong technical support to existing and potential customers, product planning through target customer identification, product budgeting, forecasting, sales training, promotion, pricing, inventory control, profit margin enhancement and coordination with Business Unit Marketing functions and factory technical and administrative contacts. Identification and communication of emerging market requirements and working with factory to develop the required products is a key element of this position. Successful candidate should also be responsible for making pre-designs for custom parts and following through till production ready at the relevant factory.


Responsibilities:


  • Product definition for North America based designs and specific customer designs.
  • Participate in worldwide product management meetings as they relate to Marketing and Engineering.
  • Set prices in accordance with profit margin objectives, sales goals, and market requirements. Product pricing authority with access to factory cost models and guidelines.
  • Factory level Cancellation and Return Material Authorization with guidelines.
  • Planning - annual budget, monthly forecasts, target customer planning, inventory, advertising/literature.
  • Market Development - projections, competitive shares, change identification.
  • Pricing - price setting, contract negotiation, profit margin maintenance.
  • Coordination - scheduling, shipping, returns authorizations.
  • Training - Provide technical training and support to sales force and customers.
  • Develop detailed sales and marketing plans (product positioning of price and availability) through coordination with other Marketing Managers in the same department, Director of Marketing and HQ Marketing and Division Management.
  • Prepare monthly and annual forecasts and annual budgets in coordination with other Marketing Managers in the same department. Coordinate actions to meet the budget.
  • Creation of advertising, catalogs, and promotional materials online and hardcopies.
  • Assist in identifying correct level of inventory to ensure maximum service with minimum cost for major customer’s where we offer VMI.
  • Develop market projections, maintain awareness of market changes, and communicate these in a timely manner.
  • Participation in global (as they pertain to North America based customers and/or business) and conduct North America contract negotiations for applicable product.
  • Monitor and direct marketing services for assigned product including price quotations, scheduling, shipping, and return of product. Essentially be the catalyst to ensure total customer satisfaction for the product to ensure that product reaches forecast and budgets.
  • Provide technical training and support to sales force and customers.
  • Responsible for checking customer portals.
  • Makes pre-designs for custom parts and following through till production ready at factory


Education: BSEE or equivalent


Experience/Requirements:


  • Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in manufacture of Electronic Components or connected products.
  • Experience on electronic converters designs and their components.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and PowerPoint), and SAP
  • Be numerate, literate, analytical, methodical, reliable, trustworthy and pro-active
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Domestic and overseas travel will be required
  • Training of Quality and AIAG Core Tools
