Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Member Relations Director at ACEC/NC. The role involves communication, sales, project management, training, and business development. While the role is based in Raleigh, NC, some remote work is acceptable.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will:


  • live in the Raleigh -Durham area, (this is not a remote position).
  • possess a BA or BS college degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • be a strong communicator, comfortably engaging with members face to face, on the phone, or virtually.
  • professionally communicate the membership proposition to potential members.
  • possess an upbeat, flexible, and professional manner when engaging with members and the staff team.
  • have at least 3 years of experience in an association setting, where member interaction was an integral part of the role.
  • possess knowledge of CRM/membership database systems and/or the acumen to easily learn them, as well as social media platforms that are used for B2B communications.
  • be an experienced presenter, comfortable in front of a group.
  • be highly organized and possess the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as needed.
  • be productive in an office setting or remotely, as needed or available.

ACEC/NC is the sole organization in North Carolina that represents the business interests of the engineering industry in the state. They provide legislative and regulatory advocacy for member companies and aim to foster relationships between the private and public sectors of the engineering industry. ACEC/NC serves over 250 member firms and 11,000 employees across the state.
