Summary
We seek a dedicated and experienced Assistant HVAC Project Manager to join our team in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will be local to the region, possess a stable work history, and have extensive experience in mechanical project management, particularly in HVAC and sheet metal projects. This role requires a professional with a solid mechanical engineering or construction management background to oversee large-scale projects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing HVAC projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project specifications and requirements.
- Supervise and manage project teams, including subcontractors and on-site personnel.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions promptly.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
Requirements
- Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Proven stable work history.
- Minimum of five years of mechanical project management experience, specifically in HVAC and sheet metal.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience with large-scale commercial HVAC projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
