The Role:

Our site in Colorado Springs is seeking a Manufacturing Solutions Engineer to join our team to help lead Entegris through is digital transformation. This role will design, deliver, maintain, and improve manufacturing solutions such as SPC, MES, OEE, IoT, Data Analytics.


The Manufacturing Systems Solutions Group is dedicated to achieving operational excellence throughout our global manufacturing processes by leveraging digital platforms and technologies. Our mission is to understand the needs of our stakeholders’ operations across the various business units, and to develop and implement globally harmonized solutions to drive improvements in efficiency, productivity, and profitability.


What You’ll Do:


Technical Leadership: Discovery, design, and delivery of technical solutions with an understanding of manufacturing needs and knowledge of manufacturing system capabilities to solve problems and add value.

  • Guide end users to identify capability gaps, quantify value opportunity and communicate desired outcomes
  • Work closely with Entegris users such as process, manufacturing, and customer quality engineers as well as IT, external vendor, and outside resources to analyze and deliver technical solutions that meet the identified requirements to deliver value for our internal or external customers.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements and internal standards for usability, data integrity, cybersecurity.
  • Troubleshoot internal / external customer issues that arise with IT, vendors, and ensure that sustainable solutions are put in place to address future instances.
  • Conduct pilots on solutions and recommend deployment plan to meet established program goals


Manufacturing Systems Management: Working as part of our Operational Excellence Organization to develop, optimize, and execute policies of the manufacturing systems such as real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related modules that are deployed to the manufacturing sites.

  • Ensure the manufacturing systems are implemented, effective, maintained, and compliant to standards
  • Control and manage system changes - perform integration and user acceptance testing
  • Establish, maintain, and update global manufacturing system documents and procedures. Adhere to global manufacturing standards and practices and maintain consistency.
  • Support software and hardware new installation, upgrades, and improvement. Example: rolling out new application versions or replacing servers.
  • Support internal and external audit on global manufacturing systems
  • Conduct training for manufacturing systems such SPC, MES, and related applications to drive successful adoption of the manufacturing system applications and promote user resolution of issues where possible


What We Seek:

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering or highly related field required
  • 5+ years experience in quality or operations or engineering in a manufacturing environment, preferably in semiconductor industry
  • Working experience with SPC, MES, LIMS, and ERP systems
  • Ability to understand and digitally represent manufacturing processes
  • Working experience with SQL databases
  • Ability to learn new software and concepts quickly
  • Demonstrated passion for success and a desire to achieve a culture of excellence
  • A self-starter who can manage & influence across functions, and work to mitigate constraints to drive progress and escalate support needed for success.

  • Strong communication skills including ability to communicate with peers using detailed visuals and examples

  • Ability to understand usability for end-users and create / revise training documentation
  • Drive to document manufacturing systems processes and knowledge to facilitate learning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to draw on domain knowledge to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt to landscape of projects and issues and prioritize according to business importance.
  • Ability and desire to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Proficiency in working with the Windows platform, and Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required Experience working in support of 24/7 manufacturing facilities


Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Working experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Grafana
  • Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement Principles
  • Working Experience with SCADA systems, such as Ignition, GE Proficy, FactoryTalk View ME/SE
  • Working experience with cloud computing services, such as GCP, Azure, AWS
  • Understanding of how data can be formatted to be consumed by machine learning analyses
  • Working Experience with camLine software, BOOMI, High Byte, industrial network protocols such as OPC, MQTT
