This position is responsible for a variety of assignments from supporting difficult assembly tasks, debugging and repairing field returns, calibration of sophisticated equipment, repair of surface mount components on PCBs, prototypes, opto-mechanical calibration/assembly and other various tasks.  Successful applicants will be driven, and excel as part of a highly capable, high-performance team. We value commitment, passion and out of the box creativity. The successful individual will be part of a close-knit group with full exposure and involvement in all aspects of the company.


Main job duties will be Optical Calibration Technician, responsible for the calibration of various Night Vision Test Equipment (NVTE) devices, both new and return service/calibration.


Key responsibilities


Electronic assembly

  • Wire harness assembly
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Support of assembly – Electro-Mechanical assembly
  • IPC-A-610 & SMT soldering skills a Plus
  • Use of Digital Multimeter, troubleshooting at assembly level
  • ESD awareness

 

 

Electronic Repair

  • Testing and calibration of equipment
  • PCB rework

 

Mechanical

  • Optical-mechanical assembly and test (lens assembly)
  • Use of: Mechanical blueprints/drawings, calipers, basic hand tools, tap and die.
  • Use of basic small power tools (Dremel, drill)
  • Optical knowledge a Plus

 

General Tasks

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education

·       Technician training/schooling and 3 years on the job experience or a

·       A. S. Certificate in Electronics Technology.

·       Military Equivalent Certificate in Electronics Technology.


Experience:

·       Experience in working with multiple discipline projects, computer skills including Microsoft Office.

 

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge in Electronic Testing, Troubleshooting, and Calibration.
  • Electronic and Electro-Mechanical Prototype Assembly.
  • Computer Skills in Windows, ERP/Inventory Systems.
  • Knowledge using a variety of Electronic Test Equipment.
  • Knowledge in reading technical drawings and documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
