Role Overview


We are looking for an Associate Director or Director (Quantitative Market Research) to turn complex data into strategic narratives and actionable recommendations that help clients identify new brand opportunities within the CPG and Health industry. This is a hybrid role, candidates must be located in Chicago or NYC and able to commute to an office.


Key Responsibilities


  • Insights and Storytelling: Identify insights, draw conclusions, and make strategic recommendations to clients for brand growth by using data to tell a story and bring recommendations to life.
  • Lead Projects & Teams: Oversee a variety of brand strategy initiatives from start to finish, overseeing all phases of quantitative market research, including methodology and questionnaire design, analyzing data, crafting presentations, and managing client relationships.
  • Project Management: Define project scope, draft proposals, set timelines, and ensure all phases of the project are executed smoothly.
  • Mentorship & Training: Guide and train junior team members in both fundamental and advanced analytic techniques and software, such as SPSS, SAS, and R, as well as in the end-to-end management of market research projects.
  • Business Development: Develop relationships with new clients and foster growth through organic business development and strategic partnerships.


Required Skills and Experience


  • Experience Level: A minimum of 6+ years in quantitative market research and consulting within the CPG and Health sectors, ideally within a market research agency, providing strategic insights to clients.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic proficiency in SPSS, SAS, or R is essential, including skills like data importing, running data tables, and weighting. Advanced skills, such as regression analysis, clustering, and segmentation, are highly valued.
  • Research Expertise: Proficient in the complete market research process, from survey design and data collection to analysis, interpretation, and presentation of findings. Expertise in segmentation, attitude and usage, choice modeling, and concept testing is crucial.
  • Analytical Insight: Strong ability to translate data into clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations that offer impactful consumer insights, moving beyond mere data points to deliver strategic business implications.
  • Business Development: Aptitude for new business development and ability to foster growth through existing client relationships.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in team management, mentoring, and training is preferred for Director-level candidates but not mandatory for Associate Director applicants.

Salary Range (depending upon location, skills, and experience) $120k to $160k
