Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Executive of Land Acquisition to lead and execute the strategic land acquisition initiatives in Columbia, SC. This executive role will oversee all aspects of identifying, negotiating, and securing land for development, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives and long-term vision. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local real estate market, zoning regulations, and a proven track record in land acquisition, particularly within the residential or multifamily development sectors.


Key Responsibilities:


- Lead land acquisition efforts by identifying high-potential parcels for residential and/or commercial development.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, real estate agents, developers, and local government officials.

- Conduct due diligence on prospective land deals, including zoning research, environmental assessments, and market feasibility studies.

- Negotiate purchase agreements and terms with property owners, ensuring favorable outcomes for the company.

- Collaborate with the development team to align land acquisitions with overall project goals and timelines.

- Analyze market trends, property values, and the competitive landscape to make informed decisions on land acquisition strategies.

- Oversee financial modeling, budget forecasting, and investment analysis for potential land deals.

- Manage land acquisition approvals, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.

- Present acquisition opportunities and strategies to senior management for review and approval.

Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- 5+ years of experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of the Columbia, SC real estate market and surrounding areas.

- Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing land deals.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a network of industry contacts.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, market research, and zoning regulations.

- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
