IT Infrastructure Engineer

IT Infrastructure Engineer- Onsite in Jacksonville, FL- contract-to-hire)
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the logistics/distribution industry is in need of an Infrastructure Engineer. This engineer will be a well-rounded individual across networking, systems, and security and will help to lead multiple projects and initiatives across a small team.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot escalated helpdesk issues
- Upgrade different version OS and servers
- Help to standardize networking infrastructure-route, switch, firewall
- Adhere to security best practices- risk assessments, vulnerability remediation, etc.
- POC and implement new tools and technology into the environment
- Lead projects and work cross functionally among various teams within organization

- Ability to work On site in Jacksonville, FL- first shift
- Some support experience troubleshooting escalated help desk issues
- Well-rounded infrastructure experience- some experience in networking, systems, and cloud
- Ability to troubleshoot servers/operating systems and network issues
- Some cloud exposure preferred (have AWS/Azure in this role)
- Experience working with multiple teams across IT department and lead projects
