Position Overview:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Juniper Network Configuration Specialist for a 2-3 month long Juniper Project in Clarke County, GA. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to read and interpret Cisco configurations and apply equivalent settings on Juniper devices using the Mist portal. This role requires a strong understanding of standard network topologies and protocols.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and interpret Cisco network configurations.
  2. Configure equivalent settings on Juniper devices using the Mist portal.
  3. Ensure seamless integration and operation of Juniper devices within the existing network infrastructure.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any configuration issues that arise during the transition.
  5. Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  6. Document configurations, changes, and project progress in a clear and concise manner.


Qualifications:

  1. Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS)
  2. Proven experience in configuring and managing both Cisco and Juniper network devices.
  3. Proficiency in using the Mist portal for Juniper configurations.
  4. Strong understanding of network protocols and topologies.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with network migration projects.
  2. Familiarity with other network management tools and platforms.
  3. Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
