The end client is in the telecommunications space (internet, cable TV, cellular provider).


Job location: Hybrid, between 2 and 3 days in the office in Sandy Springs, GA and remaining days at home.


As an AWS Cloud Application & Infrastructure Operations Lead in the telecommunications domain, your role is pivotal in shaping how telecom companies manage and utilize their data. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:


Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure and applications using AWS services.
  • Manage Cloud Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of cloud environments, focusing on high availability, performance, and security.
  • Optimize Cloud Resources: Monitor and optimize the use of cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems.
  • Automation: Implement automation tools and processes to streamline cloud operations and deployments.
  • Leadership: will be leading a team of about 20 resources.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in cloud operations, with a focus on AWS.
  • Certifications: AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in AWS services and tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
