SUMMARY


The IT Systems Engineer II will be responsible for creating or assisting with system administration and troubleshooting malfunctions, diagnosing failures, determining root cause, developing fix actions, and executing recovery solutions on our Windows and Linux based computing platforms. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Oversight of VMware/VxRail virtual environments, including backups, replication, snapshots, storage, and host hardware.
  • Manage basic VOIP Telephony infrastructure (NICE CxOne experience helpful).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of complex Windows Server and domain issues.
  • Hands-on management of desktop support activities to include: Imaging, hardware and software troubleshooting, hardware deploying and refresh.
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows servers with a focus on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and PowerShell scripting.
  • Manage and administer Azure VMs, Azure AD, O365 and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Administration of Linux servers.
  • Administration of helpdesk software (Service Desk Plus, JIRA, etc.).
  • Administration of monitoring software (Nagios, Site 24x7, DataDog, etc.).


REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field with 5+ years of experience in a large or fast-growing organization or relevant hands-on experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to work individually or as part of a team, requiring little supervision, in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
  • Work is performed on-site in Jeffersonville, IN. Not a 100% remote opportunity.
