Role: Project Delivery – Electrical Engineer
Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Jeffersonville, OH
Job Description:
TechPro Power Group is expanding its Engineering team to support an existing service area within the company. We are seeking a Full-Time Principal Electrical Engineer / Engineer V with a focus on Power Systems/Equipment. This role will involve leading our team within the Industrial and Utility Sector, collaborating with Business Development, leading projects as the Engineer of Record, deploying innovative solutions to our clients, and assisting with commissioning. Project coordination across our multiple offices will be a key responsibility.
Experience Required:
- 12+ years of experience
- Knowledge of Generator Step Up Transformers, Station Service Transformers, Unit Substations, Low Voltage Switchgear, Medium Voltage Switchgear, Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, Medium Voltage Control Centers, 125VDC Battery Systems
- Experience with Emergency and Standby Generators
Industry Experience:
- Commercial
- Industrial
- Utility
Service Area: East North Central
Business Development Responsibilities:
- Assist with Bid Walkdowns and Proposals
Project Experience:
- Manage projects up to $500k+ CAPEX
- Handle all phases of engineering projects: FEL1 (Conceptual), FEL4 (Detail Engineering), FEL5 (Construction), and FEL6 (Commissioning)
Codes and Standards Knowledge:
- UL, IEEE, NFPA, NESC, OSHA
- NERC (Optional)
Technical Skills Required:
- Business Development: Project Estimating, Proposals, Reports, and Presentations
- Project Controls: Budget Reports and Forecasting
- Project Delivery: One Line Diagrams, Three Line Diagrams, Block and Riser Diagrams, Interconnection Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, Equipment Specifications, Installation Details, Elevation Drawings, Panel Drawings, Cable Schedules, Panel Schedules, Battery Sizing, System Studies, and Arc Flash
- Commissioning: Onsite Support for Project Completion
Project Management Skills Required:
- Developing Budget Reports
- Conducting Site Walkdowns
- Leading Client Meetings
- Procurement: RFQs, RFPs, and Bid Tab Evaluation
Additional Requirements:
- Must complete Client Site Specific Training and Drug Screening if requested
Application Experience:
- Autodesk 2D – Senior Level
- Microsoft Word, OneNote, Excel, and PowerPoint – Senior Level
- Revu Bluebeam (Optional) – Entry Level
- Autodesk BIM 360 (Optional) – Entry Level
- Autodesk Electrical (Optional) -Intermediate Level
- ETAP / SKM – Senior Level
Office Location:
- Near Location
- 90% Remote, 10% In-Office for 1-year
Travel Requirements:
- 40% travel in the first year, reducing to 30% in the second year, depending on resources
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
License and Certifications:
- Fundamentals in Engineering (F.E.) – Required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) – Required
Bonus / Benefits:
- Relocation: N/A *Open to negotiation

Physical Requirements:
This job involves both indoor and outdoor work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
