POSITION OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be tasked with executing test cases and evaluating projects developed by our technology team. You will collaborate closely with internal IT and business stakeholders to confirm that new functionalities operate as expected. A significant aspect of this role involves analyzing system requirements, formulating test cases, and contributing to risk assessments. You will engage with clients, IT, and business operations personnel, as well as offshore teams, emphasizing the importance of attention to detail and thoroughness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting comprehensive quality assurance testing and analysis on custom applications and reporting technologies independently.
  • Verifying that applications and systems operate correctly and meet business standards, end-user specifications, and requirements.
  • Managing multiple testing projects concurrently and swiftly adapting to testing new applications and systems, including complex or enterprise-level solutions.
  • Creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases for new releases, feature enhancements, and regression testing of custom applications and reporting systems.
  • Collaborating with IT team members to identify, document, and resolve defects, and to retest applications as necessary.
  • Utilizing automation tools and scripting languages to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Providing guidance and support to Operations personnel to help them understand application functionalities and the corresponding test cases.
  • Developing, tracking, and analyzing QA metrics to assess testing effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Staying informed about the latest QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to continually enhance the QA process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing, including test plan creation and defect tracking, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Selenium or another automated testing/scripting platform is required.
  • Ability to construct and execute basic SQL queries is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Jira or other Agile tools is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a meticulous approach to problem-solving.
  • Capability to read, write, and interpret technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Minimal flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
  • This position requires on-site work. Remote work is not an option.
