Shea is seeking a Project Architect specializing in restaurant and hospitality project management to join our airport foodservice project team. We believe that design is not just a profession; it's a mindset, and we’re on the lookout for a driven problem-solver who can transform ideas into captivating narratives through the power of design.



THE ROLE:

As a Project Architect on our airport foodservice project team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the internal design team, clients, consultants and contractors. You’ll collaborate with other experienced Designers, Architects, and leadership through all phases of design, approaching each project with a strategic mindset to help our clients reach their goals. You’ll have the opportunity to bring brands to life within an airport setting, developing innovative designs that create a sense of place for travelers and feel destination-worthy themselves.

As part of the team, you’ll receive learning opportunities and mentorship as well as the chance to enjoy Shea’s culture from everyday office interactions to special events. This includes monthly Celebrate Shea gatherings to recognize our team and learn about exciting Shea happenings inside and outside of our office. In addition, we host monthly rep presentations and CEU’s where you can learn about new products, network and create lasting relationships. Travel will be required in this role.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Demonstrated project management from project initiation through project completion with internal project team, along with client, general contractors, engineers and city/health/airport department officials.
  • Preparation of schematic, design development and construction documents through thorough knowledge and skills in Revit.
  • Strong understanding of building, health, ADA and airport code and ability to determine compliance while aligning with design intent.
  • Collaboration with other team members, including, but not limited to Designers, Design Directors, Project Managers and Architects.
  • Capacity to thrive independently and in a teamwork setting, able to shift between multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, visual and written) and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organization and follow-through skills.

8+ years of Project Management/Project Architect experience.
