POSITION DESCRIPTION
As the Summit Email Technical Specialist, you are responsible for creating, managing and deploying emails for Summit and its clients. The Email Technical Specialist plays an integral role in determining target audiences and segmentations, test plans, messaging, and devising and launching email campaigns that will promote long-term growth of organizations and partners. You will develop strategies that are innovative, backed by data and catered to the client’s needs, while overseeing a tactical strategy that is integral to the overall omnichannel campaigns.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide implementation and strategy for email content
• Create email marketing and fundraising campaigns
• Create various email lists and segmentation campaigns
• Create and design various CTAs and email templates
• Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly
• Ensure emails are deployed accurately and on time
• Ensure the finished project meets campaign goals while exceeding the industry’s best practices
• Develop and implement email automation
• Create and maintain a trigger email program to maximize revenue
• Develop a personalization strategy that can scale to any client
• Conduct extensive testing, open rate, click through rate and segmentation performance to develop best practices for ongoing optimization of email campaigns
• Ensure messages are mobile-friendly
• Provide insights for end of campaign and client presentations
• Evolve the email program to ensure that we stay a step ahead of the competition
• Proofread emails for clarity, grammar and spelling
• Communicate with Digital Marketing Team in Asana
• Manage all email platforms including Zoho, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Research and recommend ideas and enhancements to improve company and client experiences
• Stay up-to-date on latest trends in email and digital marketing
• Work with cross-departmental teams to maintain projects as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS
Remote environment with hybrid capabilities after 9 months of employment.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful, you will be a confident leader with:
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good knowledge of digital marketing
• Experience with MTA send/bounce logs (knowledge of SMTP protocol and DNS)
• Experience with campaign management, including segmentation, development of house files, campaign creative asset development, testing, reporting and analysis
• Ability to work in both an individual and team setting
• Eagerness to learn fast and apply what is learned even faster

• Team Player: Demonstrates a strong ability to contribute to the business along with business team members and managers; establish collaborative relationships with peers. This comes with initiative to take ownership over processes and apply learnings to current problems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Must be comfortable in Meta Business Suite and Facebook Ads Manager
• Basic navigation in project management tools like Asana
• Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills with emphasis on accuracy, detail and a critical eye in terms of aesthetics.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and complete projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of marketing automation/CRMs (Salesforce, Zoho, Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, etc)
• Understanding of ISP/domain-specific delivery policies such as spam scoring, bounce handling rules and filtering logic
Basic Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or relevant field of study
• 2 or more years of digital marketing experience
• 1 or more years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Preferred Qualifications
• CRM experience a plus
• Agency experience a plus
• Experience in Brandsight and Bitly a plus
• Experience in Constant Contact or MailChimp
