NAVFAC EXWC is looking for a highly motivated Logistics Management Specialist to join their Expeditionary Department working in Sustainment. This position is located in Port Hueneme, CA at Naval Base Ventura County.
Responsibilities:
- Provides cradle-to-grave product support planning and management after equipment (systems/material) is fielded
- Enhances logistics readiness, mobilization, and support effectiveness
- Performs the full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the criteria for Product Support Development Contracts
- Processes, monitors, coordinates, and responds to distant support requests
- Coordinates with each Product Lead (PL) and Product Support Manager (PSM) for release and closure of Expeditionary Distant Support requests and naval messaging
- Supports the development and release of Maintenance Bulletins, Fleet Service Bulletins (FSBs), and other service Primary Inventory Control Activity (PICA)
Position Requirements:
- At least one year of related experience in an associate/mid-level position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five or more years of life cycle logistics experience in DoD civil service or supporting a DoD contractor
- Working knowledge of life cycle logistics problem solving
- Teamwork oriented, with experience working with diverse, multi-functional teams
Federal Employment Requirements:
- US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
- Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
- Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
