Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Logistics Support Specialist will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive logistics administrative services for the N Department, focusing on Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-time support in logistics operations, ensuring efficient administration of FMS services.
  • Collaborate effectively with Project Engineers, Logistics Representatives, Engineers, Technicians, and other Logisticians.
  • Assist in the development, review, and revision of FMS documentation.
  • Support FMS modernization initiatives, including personnel tracking and system status maintenance.
  • Draft and manage Liaison Information Transfer Reports (LITRs), Technical Bulletins, and Ordnance Alterations (ORDALTS), while maintaining an organized LITR database.
  • Update and manage installation schedules in alignment with project leadership.
  • Facilitate site turnover processes during and after acceptance phases.
  • Utilize various Navy applications, such as the Advanced Configuration and Engineering Status System (ACCESS) and UNET, for research and status tracking.
  • Monitor material inventory, installation timelines, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for different FMS countries.
  • Provide research and support for FMS countries regarding installation requirements and status.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 1 to 3 years of logistics experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Navy Logistics School.
  • Prior experience with NAVSEA Logistics or Navy Administration.

Physical Requirements:

Willingness to travel as necessary for the role.
