- Implement rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergencies requiring security intervention.
- Assist employees, truck drivers, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Observe for any irregular or suspicious activities.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a security officer or specialist in a warehouse or yard management setting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse setting. The noise level is moderate, and the environment is generally well-ventilated and well-lit. Personnel may be required to wear protective gear. Additionally, operation of heavy machinery may be necessary, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- The role is physically demanding, requiring team members to lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Duties may involve significant bending or stooping. Team members may also need to climb ladders, utilize hand tools, and/or operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts). Light duty options may be available.
