Value Creation Associate

A Southeaster Middle-Market Private Equity is scaling its Value Creation Team to further enhance their role as trusted partners to over their 20 companies in their portfolio. This is a unique opportunity in private equity to work closely with their Investment Team and portfolio companies, driving value through strategic initiatives and operational improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support due diligence by evaluating operational capabilities, processes, and risks in prospective portfolio companies.
  • Onboard portfolio companies post-investment, implementing value creation opportunities identified during diligence.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders in sales, marketing, and finance to drive proactive decision-making and implement driver-based operating models.
  • Advise on process improvements and strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio company KPIs, driving actionable improvements.
  • Assist in M&A integration and sell-side diligence readiness.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, operations, or strategy, ideally within private equity, growth equity, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development.
  • Experience in the software industry or with M&A integration projects is highly desirable but not required.
