We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our dynamic team at Selby Jennings, a leading global recruitment organization focused on servicing the financial industry.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential investment opportunities aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze market trends, demographics, and economic indicators to support investment strategies.
- Due Diligence: Perform financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for potential acquisitions, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment thesis.
- Investment Materials: Prepare investment materials and presentations for internal stakeholders and investment committees.
- Deal Negotiation: Assist in negotiating terms and structuring deals with sellers, brokers, and partners, upholding the firm's high standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Transaction Coordination: Coordinate with legal and financial advisers to facilitate transaction closings efficiently.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor performance of the portfolio properties, analyzing financial performance against projections to ensure value creation.
- Value Enhancement: Collaborate with property management teams to implement value-enhancing strategies that reflect the firm's commitment to excellence.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare regular performance reports and updates for internal stakeholders and investors, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with all parties involved in transactions and asset management.
- Asset Disposition: Develop and execute strategies for the sale or recapitalization of assets, maximizing returns for investors.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market conditions and identify optimal timing for asset disposition, aligning with the firm's investment objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in real estate software (e.g., Argus, CoStar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
