Position Summary:

DSC Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Finance and Administration to oversee our local operations, with occasional contracts out of state. This role offers significant growth opportunities, with a clear path to transition into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. The ideal candidate will be adept at operating in a startup environment, handling diverse responsibilities, and engaging directly with various aspects of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for DSC Solutions and Select Building Services (subsidiary).
  • Manage financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to Managing Director.


Administrative Oversight:

  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to support efficient operations.
  • Manage administrative functions, including human resources, and the occasional customer relations.
  • Ensure smooth and effective operations across all departments.


Strategic Planning and Growth:

  • Assist in the development and execution of organizational strategies.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.


Hands-On Leadership:

  • Engage directly with day-to-day operations and be actively involved in all levels of the organization.
  • Lead and mentor administrative teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development of staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance and administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the facilities services or janitorial industry.
  • Familiarity with managing finances for multiple entities or subsidiaries.
  • Proven track record of leading financial strategy and contributing to organizational growth.
