Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The Paralegal will support attorneys by performing a variety of substantive legal work, including research, drafting, and managing case files. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Case Management: Assist in the preparation, organization, and management of case files. Maintain and update case records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, and agreements. Prepare and file court documents in compliance with legal procedures.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries. Maintain client confidentiality and ensure all interactions are conducted professionally.
  • Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions. Organize exhibits, prepare witness files, and coordinate logistics.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements. Maintain and organize legal libraries and resources.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct.


Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field. Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal role. Experience in [specific area of law, if applicable] is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
