Inside Sales/ Estimator Department: Sales
Reports To: Director of Business Development Employment Type: On-Site, Full-Time
Compensation: $65K-$90K/year Depending on Experience About the Job:
The Inside Sales/Estimator is responsible for all aspects of responding to Requests for Quote (RFQ’s). We are looking for an experienced salesperson with estimating experience in the metal
fabrication/manufacturing environment that has a good working knowledge of drawings, takeoff’s, labor requirements and experience with customer relations.
1. Produce estimates based on customer drawings/requirements.
2. Prepare quotes based on estimates and standards.
3. Respond promptly to customer requests.
4. Prepare documentation and information to advance a project from quote, through sale, through release to production.
a) This includes drawing/ design requests from engineering, review of customer specification requirements, and customer approvals.
5. This position does require travel once or twice a year to official functions.
6. Other duties assigned as needed.
1. Ability to read and interpret contract drawings.
2. Experience with shop drawings.
3. Experience in a metal Manufacturing/Fabrication Environment.
4. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Good time management skills.
7. Driven, self-starter.
8. Attention to detail.
9. Sound decision maker
10. Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
