Merchandising Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing merchandising projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, to spec in budget. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between production, design, sales, and marketing teams, fostering collaboration and driving project success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks or issues.
  • Proactively mitigate risks and adjust project plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Estimating, Quoting & Supplier Management
  • Determine most cost-effective vendor(s) for the project and obtain estimates.
  • Produce formal Quote (based on the BOM) for approval by White Oak Management.
  • Provide Purchase Orders for the vendors chosen for the project, as assigned in the estimate
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and revenue.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource utilization.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management:
  • Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Manage client expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and empower team members to contribute to project success.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve project management processes and workflows.
  • Implement innovative solutions to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the merchandising, retailing, or product marketing channels
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project).
  • A passion for driving results and a collaborative team-oriented approach.

Work Environment

•          Flexibility with work hours (must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate).

•          Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.

•          Standing for prolonged periods.
