Since then, we’ve grown to supply high-quality, solid-state light sources across North America to numerous architectural luminaire companies. Although we constantly push lighting technologies to broaden our product range, our vision continuously focuses on clever lighting approaches meant to transform billions of square feet of poorly illuminated and often neglected spaces found everywhere.


Role Description

LUXTECH is an LED lighting company based in Boothwyn, PA. It consists of three brands, Luxtech, Lightglass and Lightly. Our mission is to positively impact people’s lives through lighting. 


The LUXTECH quality manager will support the quality and engineering team to implement preventative quality procedures, audit manufacturing locations, supplier quality, incoming quality, final quality and auditing product performance. 


Job Duties and Responsibilities

·       Oversee Quality Assurance: Lead and manage quality standards across suppliers, incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, ensuring customer requirements are consistently met. Assist in developing a QC Handbook.

·       Ensure Quality Compliance at Contract Manufacturers: Ensure network of contract manufacturers delivers quality product by:

o  Evaluating Supplier Current QC Capabilities

o  Develop QC Processes

o  Train supplier

o  Continuously manage supplier quality

·       Quality Standards Development: Spearhead the creation and continuous improvement of quality standards that align with both customer expectations and industry best practices.

·       Quality Control Systems: Design, implement, and manage quality control systems that provide effective monitoring and verification of processes, materials, and products.

·       Quality Performance Monitoring and Data Management: Regularly analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality by collecting, processing, and managing data from production and inspection processes. Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, assess performance, and implement preventive measures. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of quality metrics, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

·       Material and Product Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on materials, equipment, processes, and finished products to verify compliance with quality specifications.

·       Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with contract manufacturers and internal teams, such as production and operations, to develop and implement effective quality controls and continuous improvements.

·       Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all workflows, production processes, and products meet relevant safety and regulatory requirements. Manage UL/ETL and other product certifications.

·       Issue Investigation and Troubleshooting: Lead investigations into product, production, supplier, and customer issues, implementing root cause analysis and corrective measures.

·       Corrective Action Management: Drive the corrective action process by developing, tracking, and implementing solutions that address the root causes of non-conformances, promoting continuous improvement.

·       Risk Assessment and Control Plans: Collaborate with product engineering to assess potential risks in new product designs and implement custom control plans to mitigate those risks.

·       Travel Requirements: Travel to Canadian suppliers once per quarter to audit quality standards and ensure alignment with company expectations. Travel to Asian suppliers 1-2 times per year for quality audits and supplier development.

·       On Site: When not traveling, the position requires to be on site in Boothwyn, PA factory.


Skills & Qualifications Required

·       Degree in an engineering field.

·       ASQ certification preferred.

·       5-10 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent project management skills

·       Relationship builder

·       Strong communicator
