Encore Talent Solutions is hiring an Accounting Manager to join our team


  • This is a hybrid role in Cincinnati Ohio

The Accounting Manager will be an integral member of the team and must be able to proficiently perform all the company’s accounting functions, performing a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.


This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and co-drive implementation of multiple systems including an accounting system, payroll system, and CRM/ATS systems. In addition, to create all procedures and policies and ensure the accurate analysis, compilation, and reporting of accounting data. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team setting and is not afraid to wear multiple hats within two challenging environments. This is a very hands-on, detail-oriented position that will work side by side and closely with the VP of Finance.


Key Responsibilities


· Support local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings

· Perform Accounts Payable

· Perform Accounts Receivable

· Perform Payroll

· Perform Billing

· Perform Journal entries

· Field finance & accounting inquiries and respond timely to internal & external stakeholders

· Bank reconciliations

· Account reconciliations

· Preparation and analyzing financial reports and journal entries, maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts

· Monitoring and reviewing all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions

· Review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheet accounts

· Responsibility for all basic accounting procedures; financial statement preparation, month-end closing; journal entries and general ledger maintenance and fixed assets

· Assist in building back-office procedures and processes for operational efficiency

· Development and Implementation of department controls and procedures as businesses grow

· Monthly financial reporting and analysis

· Treasury Management

· Commissions

· Revenue and expenditure variance analysis


Requirements:

· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting, including considerable experience with month end close.

· Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor

· Intermediate to advanced experience with systems (Great Plains, ATS/CRM/payroll).

· Experience with a range of tax and regulatory filings.

· A focus on attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in tasks and projects

· Proven experience analyzing large amounts of data and digging into operational deficiencies to find resolution.

· Exceptional time management skills and accountability

· Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment.

· Collaborator mindset with an ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative fashion.

· Ambitious spirit /initiative-taker

· Advanced Excel skills

· BS degree in accounting required.

· Master’s Degree & additional certifications highly desired
