Position Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator will facilitate the full-cycle recruitment process, working closely with the Human Resources Manager to attract top talent and address day-to-day HR inquiries. This role involves sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, as well as managing their onboarding in line with the organization's objectives. The Coordinator will collaborate with hiring managers to meet current and future staffing needs and ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Sourcing and Recruitment:
- Develop and maintain a diverse talent pipeline through various sourcing methods including internet mining, networking, social recruiting, advertising, and referrals.
- Implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Source, evaluate, and manage applications for internal and external candidates, ensuring compliance with affirmative action regulations.
- Candidate Experience and Communication:
- Ensure a positive candidate experience with timely follow-ups and support throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain communication with candidates from initial contact through to their start date.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand and anticipate recruitment needs and provide guidance on talent acquisition processes.
- Participate in weekly recruiting meetings with assigned managers and submit weekly activity reports to the HR Manager.
- HR Support and Compliance:
- Support various HR functions including employment status changes, benefits, safety, compliance, and reporting.
- Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with government regulations and organizational policies.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of interviews and new hires, and ensure proper data input into applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
- Gather data, perform analysis, and create reports as needed.
- Training and Orientation:
- Assist in preparing educational materials and provide orientation to new staff regarding personnel policies and union contracts.
- Program Oversight:
- Oversee volunteer and internship programs and manage recruitment for nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees.
- Professional Development:
- Keep informed on developments in HR practices, market conditions, and relevant regulations.
- Pursue continued HR education and training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of recruiting and HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Certifications: PHR or other HR certifications preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with applicant tracking and HRIS systems (ADP preferred).
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication, with strong analytical and abstract thinking abilities.
- Personal Attributes:
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative to solve problems with limited resources and information.
- Enjoyment of interacting with others and working in a team setting.
Additional Information:
- Work Environment: Fast-paced, high-workload environment requiring flexibility and accuracy.
- Reports To: Human Resources Manager
