This role requires excellent experience with the Checkpoint product suite and BGP.


Responsibilities

  • Function as a core subject matter expert for Checkpoint product suite (firewalls, networking, security products) and Meraki switches.
  • Install, configure, deploy, monitor, tune and troubleshoot all networking components.
  • Maintain security of our network
  • Back up and update network hardware configurations including routing tables, ACL’s, etc.
  • Perform system and network monitoring.
  • Document existing/new systems and procedures.
  • Fine-tune network infrastructure and devices following service now change control procedures, and performance analysis of network devices.
  • Develop and deploy robust networking solutions within the AWS cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of BGP
  • Windows Server
  • PowerShell
  • AWS and on-prem Storage systems maintenance
  • HPE Servers
  • Project team member on large-scale system/hardware upgrades
  • Responsible for selected IT improvement projects and participates in others.
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining ISO processes.


Qualifications


  • 5 plus years of Network/Enterprise level administration
  • 5 years System/Enterprise level administration
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or a combination of relevant Microsoft certifications and job experience.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification or CCNP Certification
  • Checkpoint software technologies certification (CCSA or CCSE) will be a great asset for this position.
  • Extensive experience in Checkpoint (firewalls, networking, and product suite) will be a core asset.
  • Meraki experience
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions using Cisco and CheckPoint equipment.
  • AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Block Storage, Cloud Watch will be a plus.
  • Extensive experience in BGP
  • DevOps methodologies in an agile environment will be a plus.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as a Code, IaaS will be a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex problems in a Cisco/CheckPoint network environment.
  • Proficient in TCP/IP networking protocol
  • Strong background in internetworking/LAN/MAN/WAN data communications
  • Strong background with firewalls, routers, switches, access points and VPN solutions
  • Experience with SolarWinds solutions.
  • Experience with Enterprise Storage Systems a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management skills
