Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for actively managing and enhancing our network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and optimal performance. You will work collaboratively with our IT support, security, and operations teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in network administration and security, with extensive experience managing firewalls, SD-WAN, and connectivity across multiple locations. You should possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve complex network issues. In addition, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Actively manage and maintain the company's Fortinet firewall and SD-WAN solutions to ensure network security and reliability.
  • Manage connectivity across our 600+ locations, including configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and access points.
  • Lead network infrastructure projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and expansions, to enhance the overall efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and implement proactive measures to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support, security, and operations, to ensure the seamless operation of the network.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a related field, with a focus on managing firewalls and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Fortinet firewall and SD-WAN solutions, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in managing connectivity across multiple locations, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Proficient knowledge of LAN and WAN networking technologies, protocols, and hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other network protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Network Automation and Orchestration
  • Familiarity with Cloud Networking and Virtualization
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection
  • Proven leadership skills to manage projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with other teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
