Job Overview


The Facilities Manager at MediVera Compounding Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and efficiency. This role involves overseeing all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, safety compliance, and vendor relations. The Facilities Manager will handle a wide range of tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of our facilities.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining an optimal work environment. They will proactively identify and implement improvements that align with MediVera's core values, including embracing a growth mindset and working our hardest.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily operations of all facilities, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with regulatory standards, while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Manage maintenance schedules for all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, renovations, and maintenance tasks, fostering positive team spirit and collaboration. Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures that continuously seek opportunities for improvement, embracing a growth mindset. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors, showing respect for all. Manage facility-related budgets with precision, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety, hazardous materials handling, and workplace ergonomics, demonstrating a commitment to team well-being.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies, resolving issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Proactively implement energy efficiency measures that align with the company’s sustainability goals.
  • Support company events and activities by coordinating facility needs, such as room setup and equipment arrangements, while displaying positive team spirit. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and other facility-related activities, taking pride in detailed and organized work. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure facility operations support the company’s goals, fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.


Attributes & Skills


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to handle facility-related issues.
  • Proven leadership experience managing maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Experienced in general IT support and troubleshooting.
  • Project management experience with a successful track record in facility projects.
  • Experience managing large budgets and negotiating with vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar).
  • Familiarity with building management systems and maintenance software.
