Business Development Representative

Position Overview:
They are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join their sales team in Lincolnshire, IL. This individual will play a key role in driving new business growth and expanding Staples' customer base by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, customer relationships, and delivering value to businesses through Staples' extensive range of products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research prospective clients within designated territories. Engage with key decision-makers via cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, account management, and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client retention.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline management, and key metrics using CRM tools. Provide insights and feedback to enhance business development strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role. Office supplies or B2B industry experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable with CRM software and other sales tools.
- Ability to travel as needed within the Lincolnshire, IL area.
