Our Client is looking for a Principal Information Security Architect to work in their Dublin, CA office. This is a Hybrid role and reports to the VP, Information Security.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop enterprise-wide security standards and best practices, engineering complex technology solutions for cross-organizational security issues.
  • Translate advanced technology experience and in-depth knowledge of business objectives into technical engineering solutions.
  • Serve as the highest-level technical expert, advising on risk assessment, procedure development, cost/benefit analysis, and strategy implementation of architectural designs.
  • Conduct R&D on IT security trends to introduce innovative architectural designs and guide future technology adoption.
  • Perform detailed technical analysis of IT systems, including Endpoint, Server, Application, and Network environments.
  • Document and present Data Flow and Security Architecture diagrams to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage vendors for outsourced Information Security solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Consult with management to refine information security services to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Implement program and process improvements, providing subject matter expertise on IT security technologies (e.g., endpoint security, antivirus, WAF, IDS/IPS, DLP).
  • Act strategically across business lines and infrastructure domains, defining and guiding transitions to target state processes and technologies.
  • Lead enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring diverse business interests are represented in the architectural framework.
  • Approve high-level architectural impact designs and exceptions to Enterprise Architecture.
  • Assist with configuring cybersecurity tools, including Endpoint security systems, Next-Generation Firewalls, and DLP solutions.
  • Mentor System and Solution Architects, providing guidance where required.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc responsibilities related to information security analysis and technology.

Functional Competencies:

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISA, GSEC, GCFA, GISP (or equivalent) highly desired.
  • Expertise in Firewall and network security technology.
  • Proficiency in Endpoint and Server information security.
  • Knowledge of SIEM, access control policy, firewall policy, and end-user computing policy.
  • Technical ability to assess security technologies.
  • Experience with Hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud, and SaaS environments.
  • Leadership experience in information security.
  • Familiarity with FFIEC, NCUA, NIST, and/or ISO standards for information security.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related technical discipline.
  • Over 8 years of combined IT and security work experience, with broad exposure to systems analysis, application development, and systems administration.
  • More than 5 years of experience designing and deploying security solutions.
  • Strong background in Cloud, Network, and Endpoint security.
  • Advanced skills in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
