Our client is looking for an IT Security Engineer III to join their team


Overview:

The IT Security Engineer III is our senior position on our dedicated security team. You will be responsible for our security tools stack. You will be entrusted to keep our security position current, everywhere, and configured correctly. You own and drive security projects from inception to completion, working with the rest of the security team to help them learn and grow. You lead by example. To be successful in this position you need to have a proven history in IT Security best practices, security tools, application security, and cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The position reports to the IT Security and Compliance Director


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You own the company security stack (SIEM/EDR/NDR/VM/WAF/firewalls/email security/IAM/etc.) and security architecture within security leadership objectives.
  • You are to drive our vulnerability management and our security incident management to meet security policy requirements.
  • Provide services to internal team members to assist with issues as they relate to security.
  • Drive the creation, prioritization, and execution of security projects in alignment with leadership.
  • Document all work in the proper location.
  • You will create, review, and keep security policies and procedures up to date.
  • Perform audits/reviews, provide metrics, and diagrams as directed.
  • Contribute to the development of internal security testing and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with IT and all other departments to assess, document, and address risk.
  • Keeps up to date on current and emerging security technologies and threats. Champion where the company can benefit from these new technologies.
  • Provide best practice security guidance for all departments as needed.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call duties to support essential business clients and emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with internal compliance to ensure compliance mandates are sufficiently addressed through policy, process, and controls.
  • Commit to working together as one team, exceeding service expectations by developing positive relationships and treat others with value and respect, always.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience.
  • 7 years in IT experience with 5 years IT Security experience.
  • ​​​​​​​Required Certification/ License: CISSP required or will obtain within first 6 months.


Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:​​​​​​​

  • ​​​​​​​7-10 years in IT with at least 7 years in IT Security
