Salary Range: $165,000.00 to $185,000.00 Annually


Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Controller to oversee all construction-related accounting operations. This role involves accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, and treasury functions. The Construction Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to establish and maintain procedures and controls and lead key company initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting operations by establishing policies and procedures to ensure financial transactions comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare monthly financial reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts to analyze cash flow, identify trends, and track variances to mitigate risk and enhance financial outcomes.
  • Oversee the financial integrity of the general ledger, financial accounting, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
  • Recommend distributions based on available cash and future cash requirements.
  • Lead financial statement reviews and assist with tax return filings, including preparing support schedules as needed.
  • Establish and maintain books for new entities and update business organizational charts.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide accounting team members.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including a minimum of five (5) years in the construction industry, and at least three (3) years in a supervisory role overseeing construction accounting teams. CPA and/or CCIFP designation preferred. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Experience with Sage 300 CRE, Procore, and/or Textura is a plus.

Salary:

$165,000 to $185,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
