External Wholesaler

IAMS Wealth Management is an SEC Registered Investment Advisor based in Omaha, Nebraska. We offer full-service back-office solutions to investment advisors throughout the United States, and we are looking for an energetic and experienced External Wholesaler to join our growing team.


This role will be responsible for developing new advisor relationships through various recruiting channels, regional events, in-person meetings, and sales calls. This role will be responsible for monthly recruiting targets and reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience, an in-depth understanding of the industry, strong existing relationships in the independent advisor communities, and knowledge of key competitors in the RIA marketplace. 


Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with, and add advisors/branch offices nationwide
  • Manage the entire sales process from identifying prospective advisors, cold calling, and product demonstration
  • Differentiate IAMS WM by educating prospective advisors on our turnkey systems, service, and support
  • Provide operational and cost analysis of advisors’ current business and identify solutions through IAMS WM
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure successful on-boarding and post transition success
  • Cultivate relationships with centers of influence among other recruiters, vendor partners, and IAMS Advisors
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business
  • Travel nationally as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 3-5 years’ experience as successful wholesaler OR equivalent experience in the financial services industry 
  • Must have demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Knowledge of advisory, insurance and brokerage products as well as SEC rules and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, self-motivation, and time management skills to manage a sales pipeline.
  • Ability to effectively assess and prioritize tasks in alignment with overall objectives of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and professional approach.
  • Must be open to occasional travel and weekend work.
