The Controller will oversee key business strategies within the Finance and Accounting department relating to Financial Reporting & ERP System Utilization, Budgeting & Forecasting, Cost Management, Financial Analysis, Tax Compliance, and Relationship and Departmental Management. They will utilize the accounting software program to create efficiencies and streamline processes. Responsibilities for the Controller Job in Meadville, PA include:



  • Utilize and optimize the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for financial management and reporting.
  • Oversees all daily financial matters, including but not limited to disbursements, receivables, costing, payroll, bank balances, cash management, and banking relationships. Conduct financial analyses to evaluate the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and oversee the production of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage the company's budget
  • Financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decision-making including annual budget.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs: direct labor, overhead, and raw materials.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Work with external tax advisors to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize liabilities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for enhancing profitability and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain internal control procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed transactions are monitored & controlled including Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Invoicing, and all inventory transactions.
  • Conduct regular audits.
  • Prepare schedules and analysis for all corporate external audits. Acts as a Project Manager for external audits to monitor auditor time and review completed audits for accuracy.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Responsible for the preparation of and compliance with all tax regulations including payroll, sales, federal, state, and local.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support.
  • Departmental Management of key staff
  • Oversee and lead the finance and accounting department to maintain productivity and quality of the day-to-day completion of the tasks performed by the accounting & finance department.


Qualifications:

  • BA in Accounting, with MBA/CPA preferred and five (5) or more years manufacturing or public accounting experience.
  • Must possess a very in-depth, well-rounded knowledge of accepted accounting principles.
  • Must be proficient in NetSuite or similar ERP software.
  • Results driven change agent with the ability to mentor and develop team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to read financial reports
  • Ability to prioritize and handle many diverse projects and issues simultaneously; ability to deal with important issues that can have a significant impact on the long-term success of the Company.
  • Must be organized and deadline oriented and have strong verbal communication skills.
