What we are looking for:
We are actively looking for a General Manager to join our high performing team. This position is responsible for providing leadership and day-to-day management of divisional reconstruction & mitigation teams while working closely with the Finance team (FIN), Business Development Team (BD), Operational Excellence Team (OE), and the Human Resources Team (HR). The role includes strategic oversight of all functional areas for an assigned division, directly responsible for P&L management (supported by the FIN team), new business development (supported by the BD team), production quality and efficiency (supported by the OE team) and ensuring adherence to company culture and values (supported by the HR team). The Operations Manager will also play a crucial role in ensuring project efficiency, quality, and profitability while providing mentorship and support to their team.
What you will do:
- Oversee all daily operations, including initial customer contact through to collections
- Mentor and support project directors, project managers, mitigation managers and estimators
- Hold teams accountable to executing their job functions true to Kustom’s processes and standards
- Act as a point of escalation for job problem resolution, especially in cases where liens may be required or collections are overdue.
- Collaborate with the Business Development, Finance, Operational Excellence and Human Resource teams as needed.
- Responsible for the staffing of an assigned division including hiring, firing, and management of staffing levels.
- Ultimately responsible for achieving growth and profitability goals by executing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
What you will bring:
- 5 years of experience in construction and / or restoration.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, construction management, or applicable focus preferred.
- Effective leadership skills and ability to facilitate company teamwork to achieve business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Effective problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company policy.
