Ice Cream Shift Lead

We are looking for a Shift Lead with a D.C. Food Protection License and retail experience to help create magical moments at our pop ups. Ice Cream experience is a major plus. WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a SMiZE SQUAD LEAD, you will lead a team focused on not just serving ice cream but also creating a buzz-worthy atmosphere where guests can Smize and Dream. Your role will involve providing a high-touch, luxe vibe within a casual entertaining environment, anticipating guests' needs, and ensuring total guest satisfaction. You dream of leading a team that is not just about food, but spreading happiness and surprises. You relish in the idea of a buzz-worthy atmosphere where you are in charge of creating that buzz. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
GUEST SERVICES
- Provide a high-touch, luxe vibe within a casual entertaining environment
- Interact regularly with guests to inquire about ice cream and make acquaintances
- Anticipate guests' needs and ensure they are satisfied
- Foster an experience where guests are fulfilled and compelled to become repeat customers
- Respond promptly to guest needs or complaints, resolving matters thoroughly and quickly to ensure total guest satisfaction
MARKETING & PROMOTIONS
- Build relationships within the community and community organizations to promote brand awareness
- Participate in community events
- Ensure social media content is captured and submitted to the marketing team
POP-UP SHOP LEAD
- Open and close the POP-UP following SMiZE & DREAM procedures
- Perform cash management procedures including register audits and safe counts
- Proactively manage the day's business for a smooth operation
- Delegate tasks to Ice Cream Scoopers and ensure completion
- Drive key metrics like Average Dollar Sale and Conversion
- Assist with ordering, inventory counting, and maintenance
- Greet customers, offer samples, scoop and serve ice cream with a smile
- Prepare and serve menu offerings with attention to quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station following health regulations
- Train employees on store offerings, tasks, and brand history
- Foster a positive working environment through Uncommon Hospitality
- Communicate effectively with the team and senior management
- Participate in events and parties for their success
- Recommend new products or services that could enhance the experience
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a Valid Food Handler License
- Ice Cream experience is a major plus.
- Enjoy interacting with children, adults, and everyone in between
- Positive, patient, dependable, and punctual
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to inspire and teach new skills to staff
- Story-teller at heart with a fun personality
- Flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Thrive in a fast-paced retail food service environment
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 30lbs unassisted
