Join our innovative production team at SMiZE & DREAM's inaugural D.C. location this summer, founded by Tyra Banks.

We are seeking a skilled **Ice Cream Chef/Maker** in Washington, D.C. to collaborate with The Global Head of R&D at SMiZE & DREAM and lead our D.C. ice cream production and team. If you have a passion for crafting delicious ice cream creations, mastering the art of churning, and creating unique flavors, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Lead a team in churning ice cream, operating a batch freezer, and mixing in variegates and inclusions to create high-quality ice cream products.

2. Prepare and create ice cream mix while ensuring consistency and quality.

3. Coordinate with The Global Head of R&D to oversee the production process to maintain efficient operations and meet production goals.

4. Provide guidance and training to team members on ice cream production techniques and safety procedures.

5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

6. Reliably execute recipes, and menu items with guidance from R&D.

7. Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.

8. Lead by example to inspire and motivate team members to deliver top-notch ice cream quality.

9.Contribute to the overall success of the ice cream production by driving quality, consistency, and innovation in flavors.

**Qualifications**:
1. Washington D.C. Food Protection License is required.

2. Previous experience in churning ice cream, operating a batch freezer, and creating ice cream mix.

3. Strong knowledge of ice cream production techniques, flavors, and ingredients.

4. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively lead a team.

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

6. Passion for crafting unique and delicious ice cream flavors.

7. Creative mindset with a willingness to innovate and explore new ideas in ice cream making.

8. Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 - 40 per week
