Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will provide administrative and research support for the president and senior vice president of, Research and Strategic Development at the U.S Chamber Institute for Legal Reform. This person will be responsible for scheduling, including internal and external meeting arrangements, briefing materials, and travel logistics.

Detailed Description of Administrative Duties

  • Proactively manage and provide daily administrative support, including calendar and meeting materials, travel arrangements, expense reports, and logistical support for meetings.
  • Manage and brief staff weekly on the president’s schedule.
  • Assist with member relations efforts, including providing timely responses on availability, ensuring that the team knows who should attend meetings, and blocking the calendar for potential meetings,
  • Great visitors in the lobby and escort them to a meeting room.
  • Provide backup support to other coordinators.
  • Perform other administrative support duties as assigned.

Detailed Description of Research Duties

  • Work closely with the senior director of, Research.
  • Conduct preliminary literature reviews when considering potential research vendors.
  • Edit and proofread research projects and manage the process of getting copies printed in-house.

Supervision Received:

This person will report to the president and the senior vice president, of Research and Strategic Development and be a self-starter and be able to work independently while following directions promptly and thoroughly.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • College degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of senior level administrative experience in a law for environment, corporation, or trade association.
  • A strong event planning background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management
  • Able to arrive early and stay late as needed.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior- level executives and maintain a high degree of discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

The salary range for this position is $48,400.00 to $60,500.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
