Key Responsibilities:


• PLC Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

• Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for Allen Bradley PLCs on the production floor, focusing on identifying and resolving system faults quickly to minimize downtime.

• Perform routine diagnostics on existing Allen Bradley PLC systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of automated processes.

• Assist with programming adjustments and minor modifications when necessary, though the primary focus is on troubleshooting and support.

• FANUC Robotics Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

• Troubleshoot and maintain FANUC robotic systems to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production operations.

• Respond to emergency calls for robotic system repairs and perform preventative maintenance to avoid future disruptions.

• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to identify root causes of robotic malfunctions and implement effective solutions.

• VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Troubleshooting:

• Provide troubleshooting support for Allen Bradley PowerFlex drives, diagnosing and resolving issues related to motor speed control.

• Adjust and fine-tune VFD parameters to optimize motor performance and energy efficiency.

• Perform regular maintenance checks on VFD systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure system stability.

• Automation & Control System Support:

• Use HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems to monitor real-time data and troubleshoot issues with automated equipment.

• Support automation and controls teams in resolving system malfunctions, ensuring machines and equipment operate efficiently.

• Work within established protocols and safety standards to maintain the integrity and reliability of automation systems.

• Shift Support & Emergency Response:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and technical support during the 3rd shift, responding to any urgent issues that arise with PLCs, robotics, and VFD systems.

• Ensure that all troubleshooting activities are documented and communicated effectively to day-shift teams to ensure continuity of operations.


Qualifications:


• Education:

• Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.

• Certifications or experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, FANUC robotics, and PowerFlex drives preferred.

• Experience:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, focusing on troubleshooting and system support in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Proven experience in diagnosing and maintaining FANUC robotic systems, including responding to emergency repairs.

• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PowerFlex drives and their troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting skills in Allen Bradley PLC systems, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve faults.

• Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting FANUC robots and PowerFlex drives.

• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot control systems effectively.

• Basic programming skills are a plus, but the primary focus is on diagnosing and repairing automation equipment.

• Shift Requirements:

• Must be available to work 3rd shift with the ability to provide on-call support for urgent issues.

• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required, depending on the production schedule.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure issues are properly logged and communicated between shifts.
