Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role as Packing & Shipping Coordinator at KYNAH in Santa Monica, CA. You'll be the driving force behind our operational efficiency, ensuring seamless processes in shipping, inventory management, and overall operations. Your meticulous attention to detail and sharp decision-making skills will be crucial in enhancing the company's performance. You'll serve as the primary liaison for retail inventory matters, resolving any issues promptly. Setting the benchmark for operational excellence, you'll strategically organize our back-of-house operations to maximize profitability and maintain inventory accuracy.


**Key Responsibilities:**

Packaging & Shipping:

- Ensure accurate and timely shipment of all orders for KYNAH & Kiska brands daily.

- Pull, pack, and ship items according to the KYNAH and Kiska packaging standards.

- Coordinate pickups and drop-offs with shipping carriers (UPS, USPS, DHL) as needed. Drop off to the needed location as required.


Transfer Receiving:

- Receive and organize inventory shipments from the India office into the storage facility & store in an accurate and timely manner

- Liaise with the e-commerce team for accuracy

- Notify the India team promptly via WhatsApp regarding any transfer-related issues.


Order Pickups:

- Schedule and manage order pickups according to designated days.

- Ensure timely fulfillment or notification to the online team upon pickup completion.


Upkeep Coordination:

-Take items to the dry cleaners and tailor as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery

-Track all items in the appropriate documentation

-Coordinate with the store team as needed


Inventory Management:

- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory counts for both brands.

- Hold a monthly inventory count and check for each brand to ensure accurate inventory listing.

- Escalate oversell issues to relevant stakeholders.

- Regularly log inventory and submit reports as required.


Returns Handling:

- Inspect and process returns for KYNAH and Kiska products daily, returning funds to customers according to discussions with the online team.

- Work with the CS team to resolve any returns issues.


Supplies Management & Organization:

- Monitor and replenish packaging materials and other supplies as needed in the store including supplies for the store operations.

- Coordinate replenishment from India for packaging when stock levels are low.

- Ensure organizational integrity of back-of-house areas and display inventory.

- Ensure all items in the back room are accounted for and organized at all times.


Store Assistance:

  • Assist the store team as needed with inventory needs


**Additional Tasks:**

- Assist with inventory coordination for photoshoots and pop-up events.

- Attend events and assist with stylist team needs as required.

- Handle ad hoc orders and correspond with the team accordingly.


Qualifications:

- Previous experience in operations, shipping, or inventory management preferred.

-MUST be able to lift 25-30lbs.

  • Must be local to Los Angeles
  • Must have a car and drivers license

- No task is too small with a hustle mentality able to work with many different team members.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Proficiency in using communication tools such as Slack and WhatsApp.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.


Pay $18 - $20

Must be able to come to the Santa Monica store 3x a week.
