This Product Developer position offers a unique opportunity to delve into the innovative and product development perspective within Galerie®. The Product Developer will work closely with Marketing and Sales to ensure new products align with Galerie's Everyday strategy, utilizing data and insights for product development. Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales, Design, and Purchasing teams to formulate strategies, create line plans, set execution benchmarks, and develop products for Galerie's Everyday Program.


  • Innovation Leadership – Continuously uncover and identify significant marketplace and consumer trends to establish Galerie® as a product and CPG innovation leader. Leverage this understanding to define opportunities for new product development, strategic market extensions, and licensing goals. Push capabilities further across the business by understanding current market trends, past practices, and competitive products. Develop and execute strategies to provide consistent products and packaged goods To help Galerie succeed in everyday candy & snack segments.


  • Product Launch – Oversee product launches, including concept development, positioning, product development, packaging, pricing, distribution, and market planning. This role requires coordination across multiple departments within Galerie® and with international vendors at manufacturing locations to ensure global quality and consistency for each new product rollout.


  • Relationships & Communication – Collaborate and build strong relationships with various departments within Galerie®, as well as with domestic and international vendors, suppliers, and global team members. Develop and nurture relationships with current and new suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to negotiate costs, keep product lines on track, and meet seasonal deadlines.


Requirements:


*This role is onsite in Hebron Kentucky*


  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in Product Development, Product Merchant, Procurement or Operations
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience REQUIRED - Traditional CPG foundation with strong understanding of candy, baked-goods, ceramics, tins, plastics and other packing designed around gifting products.
  • Proven track record using data to drive product decisions, product optimization, and measure performance metrics.
  • Expertise in developing and executing strategic product plans that align with company goals. Experience in analyzing market research, competitive analysis, and identifying growth opportunities is a plus. Proven ability to translate insights into actionable product development strategies to enhance product performance and market reach.
  • Strong Excel skills; Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing, Access, Crystal Reports, Workamajig (or other reporting systems), are not required but preferred
  • Willing to toggle between multiple projects simultaneously
  • High energy level in the office
