Job Description:

Aspen is implementing a new instance of it’s Ceded Reinsurance system to support two main outcomes. First to generate process efficiencies for calculation of premiums and recoveries and second to support more effective downstream accounting and actuarial processes.


We are the stage of defining our technical requirements, addressing data inadequacies and source to target mapping.


The purpose of this role is to ensure we have a robust plan and drive the execution of that plan.


Working with the Outwards Reinsurance team and change manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the successful delivery of the technology.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver the end-to-end implementation and integration of the new Ceded Reinsurance application.


Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.


Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.


Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, data, IT, finance, actuarial and operations, to deliver:


Low level data architecture and designs.


End to end solution architecture.


Plan for delivery of the designs.


Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.


Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.


Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.


Ensure compliance with Aspen’s IT Change Management policies, industry standards, regulations, and best practices.


Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure successful transition to operational teams.


Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.


The successful candidate must have:

Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, in the (re)insurance industry.


Strong understanding of reinsurance processes and ceded reinsurance applications (ideally ProCede).


Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.


Proficiency in project management tools and software.


Strong leadership and team management abilities.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Nice to have:

Prior experience delivering for outwards reinsurance operations/accounting team.


ProCede experience and knowledge.
