IT Manager

AMG has an exciting new position, IT Manager. This position will manage day-to-day operations of the Digital IT team, providing strategic direction and operational support to a diverse team of developers, product managers, and project managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile & creative environment. This role requires a proactive approach to managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards while coaching and mentoring technology staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the technical team, including developers, product managers, and project managers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, deadlines, and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Reinforce best practices for software development, IT project management, and IT operations.
• Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, making recommendations to keep the company at the forefront of industry developments.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, promoting continuous learning and improvement.
• Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, preferably in a marketing or creative agency environment.
• Strong technical background with experience in software development, cloud infrastructure, SaaS and project management.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS, Angular & React frameworks. Python knowledge a plus.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile & SDLC) and tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of current trends and advancements in technology, particularly in the marketing and advertising industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with shopper marketing or retail technology solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) or IT management (e.g., ITIL).
