The U.S. headquarters in Eatontown, NJ, handles manufacturing, technical service, sales, marketing, customer support, and warehouse operations, with a team of over 100 employees.
Role Overview:
The Director of Sales and Marketing will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Sales Department. The primary goal is to drive growth and enhance market presence through innovative sales initiatives and targeted marketing campaigns. This newly created role will foster cross-departmental collaboration, leverage software and system capabilities, and maximize team potential. By streamlining and transforming the Sales Department, this position offers significant growth potential for the organization.
The Director will manage four direct reports and oversee a sales team of 30 people. This role is based in Eatontown, NJ, and requires travel as needed. The Director of Sales and Marketing reports to the President of the company.
Objectives and Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, setting clear goals and KPIs.
- Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets, expanding market share, and nurturing client relationships.
- Develop and refine the sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
- Drive the development of marketing collateral, including printed and digital content to support sales efforts while maintaining brand image.
- Leverage market insights and customer feedback to refine product positions and messaging.
- Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, optimizing tactics based on performance data.
- Mentor and coach the sales and marketing teams, fostering a collaborative culture.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance product capabilities and customer service.
- Follow ISO, 5S, manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales management experience within the industrial automation or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in managing complex, strategic sales processes and projects.
- Strong technical understanding of industrial automation technologies.
- Ability to develop specifications for highly technical custom-manufactured products.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward common goals.
- Capability to develop and implement strategic objectives.
- Demonstrated practical experience in driving improvements and defining key objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective communication across all levels.
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional and international team environments.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in building long-term customer relationships.
- Strategic thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CRM software (Microsoft CRM, Salesforce, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
