Inventory Control Specialist
This exciting role will ensure efficient and accurate inventory management throughout the organization. This person will lead a team and oversee all inventory control processes, ensure compliance with company guidelines, and make valuable suggestions for process improvement. The company is headquartered in the Burlington, WA area. It is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV Modules for the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team works towards achieving the objectives related to inventory control management and make suggestions for improvement to the management
- Train staff in all inventory control processes according to manual and update processes as required
- Monitor all procurement requests of facilities, ensure accuracy in all inbound inventory, and maintain records
- Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
- Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock
- Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, (for shortages as well as overages)
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies and troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
- Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders
- Collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities and process orders for shipment
- Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Track rates of accuracy, purchase, return, and defective items to inform quality control decisions
- Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports and review reports monthly with management
- Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed
- Work in tandem with various departments and maintain a flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals
- Process inventory movements
- Maintain BOM inventory consumption
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Forklift knowledge and experience
- Proven experience in inventory management
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience working within a warehousing industry is preferred
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Flexibility in work hours/schedule
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP) is preferred
Salary Range:
- $21-25/hr depending on experience.
