Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Control Systems Specialist to join our team at GCR Technical Staffing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, control systems, and mechatronics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing control systems for robotic applications
  • Implementing and testing control algorithms using programming languages such as C and C++
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with robotic hardware
  • Providing technical support and training to customers on control systems and robotic applications

Requirements:

  • MS in Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in Matlab / Python or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Understanding of Classical Control Theory: PID, tuning, stability, filters, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with control systems and tuning
  • Proficiency in using MATLAB for data analysis and data control simulation

Desirable skills include:

  • Theoretical background and experience in electrical and electronic system design
  • Experience in digital and analog circuit design, embedded systems, interfacing with microcontrollers, power electronics design, and motion control
  • Familiarity with optical design and opto-electronic components, such as laser diodes, photodiodes, transceiver circuits
  • Proficiency in OrCAD, PADS or similar design tools
  • Lab skills, including soldering of components, rework of PCBAs
