Role and Responsibilities

Development and implementation of an evolving competitive and industry leading compensation and benefits program. Strategies/Activities to include but not limited to:

o  Assistance in company-wide bonus program. Transparency and ownership of the data and assistance to the departmental supervisors on decision-making process with a focus on qualitative and quantitative factors such as business KPI’s, quality and personal performance.

o  Performance of a benchmarking/gap analysis on what employee benefit programs are readily available in comparison to CMPs to discern our relative “score” focused on reward, attendance, incentives, wellness, and insurance programs.

o  Publicize throughout the company our Core Values. Factory, office, and monitors. Also determine and work to install more visible monitors throughout office and plant sharing company information.

o  Industry, market, or manufacturing recognition outside of CMP/TFC both locally, statewide and industry based.

o  Implementation of company paid YMCA membership program


Development and implementation of a talent selection and management program using a cadence and systematic approach that bolsters company and departmental credibility:

o  Personally recruit new employees in addition to understand, track, and help manage expenses related to recruitment and retention programs. Management of temporary employment agencies and use as necessary.

o  Next level team-member management via measurable goal setting and tracking program for top performing team members

o  Management of performance appraisal processes and compensation adjustments/bonus twice annually focused on business goals and objectives while providing data/messaging consistency.

o  Accelerate current student and emerging talent program.

o  Manage current programs such as FVTC student tour visit once per semester and CMP tuition reimbursement program

Work directly with supervisors and managers in a coach-teach-monitor-repeat system to execute their responsibilities on personnel matters. Identify organizational structure and supervisors that are needing further development on self-sustaining management/execution of Human Resources policies and procedures.


Administer and lead company Safety, Health, and Environmental program initiatives overseeing outsourced Safety compliance and training organization. Additionally:

o  Manage outside firm that performs risk-based safety audits, convey risk and results, and monitor actions to completion. Escalate non-conformance remediation non-compliance to supervisory staff.

o  Interface and manage outside training organization and assist in coordination efforts of training schedule.

o  OSHA /EPA / Bay Environmental key contact in connection with Director of Finance & CEO as needed.

o  Proper records management for training, forklifts, injuries, etc.

o  Use of a metrics-based system to track and monitor performance both operational and financially.

Preferred Experience

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required

·        A minimum of 3 years of HR experience required. 

·        SHRM or other certificates and/or affiliations preferred
