Planet Technology is hiring a Workday HRIS Supervisor/Lead for our client in Mesquite, TX (4-5 days onsite REQUIRED). This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity (conversion after 6 months).



Job Details/Project Details: Our client went live with Workday in the U.S. in May and is now looking to expand its team. They require a Workday HRIS Supervisor/Lead to help manage and lead a team of five employees.

  • Lead the transition from ADP Workforce Now to Workday, ensuring a smooth implementation process.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for successful Workday implementation.
  • Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders and external consultants to guarantee successful deployment.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during the implementation process promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions for HRIS team members and end-users on Workday functionalities.
  • Supervise a team of three HRIS professionals, providing mentorship and support.
  • Maintain and update HRIS systems to ensure data integrity and security, while also developing and implementing HRIS policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Generate and analyze HRIS reports to support decision-making processes within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to align HRIS initiatives with company goals and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization regarding HRIS changes and updates.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements, leading efforts to optimize HRIS functionalities and user experience.
  • Stay abreast of Workday updates and HRIS industry trends, using this knowledge to drive continuous improvement within the organization.


Must Have Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Proficient in Workday HCM, Workday HRIS, Workday Integration and UKG/Kronos.
  • Workday Payroll experience
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions is essential
  • Familiarity with Time tracking tools
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry is desirable
  • Strong skills in Problem Resolution
  • Ability to use ADP Workforce Now software effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field
